Carriage House Birth is the meeting place for families and doulas from all walks of life.
Carriage House Birth Doulas are a diverse group people who represent members of the greater birth community.
All CHB doulas are independent contractors.
CHB doulas set their own rates and offerings in both Birth and Postpartum packages.
Refunds are issued at the doula's discretion.
CHB advocates for a doula’s self-worth and vouches that these rates are fairly arrived at based on, but not limited to, each doula’s accumulated experiences, clients supported, related areas of expertise and completed trainings with CHB and/or other organizations.
BIRTH DOULAS
Care for people during pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum stage.
A CHB affiliated birth Doula provides prenatal support sessions with the goal preparing the family for the birth of their child(ren) and the immediate postpartum period. The birth Doula will tailor each visit specifically to needs of the families they care for. The Doula(s) will provide on-site support through labor, delivery and early postpartum in a hospital, birthing center or homebirth setting and will offer one postpartum follow up visit if desired.
Our affiliated Birth Doulas also offer support around loss, miscarriage and abortion .
POSTPARTUM & NIGHT DOULAS
Care and prepare your family for life after birth.
CHB affiliated Postpartum Doulas help families to identify realistic parenting goals and then support the family in the execution of those plans. They offer light cleaning, organizing, emotional support, feeding support for the whole family, light cooking, overnight support if specified, referrals and more.
Our affiliated Postpartum Doulas provide support for both biological and adoptive families. Services may include (ideally) one in home prenatal visit to begin the critical preparation for the long term postpartum period.
Our affiliated Postpartum Doulas also offer support around loss, miscarriage and abortion.
